đą Beginner Tips
Just starting out? These fundamental strategies will help you survive your first few stages.
Your #1 priority is protecting the eagle. It doesn't matter how many lives you have â if the eagle falls, the game ends instantly. Position yourself between enemy spawn points and your eagle whenever possible.
Instead of chasing enemies around the map, find a position where you can see multiple paths and wait for enemies to come to you. Let the terrain funnel enemies into your line of fire.
Stars permanently upgrade your tank until you die. Getting to max power (3 stars) dramatically increases your effectiveness:
- Faster bullets let you hit enemies before they react
- Two simultaneous bullets doubles your damage output
- Steel-breaking shots open new paths and eliminate enemy cover
Brick walls protect your eagle. Avoid shooting randomly â every stray bullet that hits your defensive walls weakens your base protection. Be deliberate with your shots.
â
Do
- Stay near the bottom third of the map
- Collect every power-up you see
- Learn enemy spawn patterns (top left, center, right)
- Use pause to assess the situation
â Don't
- Rush to the top of the map early
- Destroy walls around the eagle carelessly
- Ignore Fast tanks â they're the biggest threat
- Fire blindly in the direction of your eagle
đž Enemy-Specific Tactics
Each enemy type requires a different approach. Learn to identify and prioritize targets.
âŦ Basic Tanks
Low threat individually. Focus on them when grouped or when they're near your eagle. They're slow, so you can often ignore them temporarily to handle bigger threats.
đĩ Fast Tanks â Priority Target!
The most dangerous early-game enemy. Their speed lets them slip past your defenses and reach the eagle quickly. Always eliminate Fast tanks first when they appear.
đĸ Power Tanks
Faster bullets than Basic tanks make them dangerous at range. Don't peek around corners slowly â commit to your movements or they'll hit you first.
đ Armor Tanks
Takes 4 hits to destroy. Watch for color changes to track damage. Don't waste time on Armor tanks if Fast tanks are threatening your eagle â Armor tanks are slow and predictable.
Flashing tanks (the 4th, 11th, and 18th enemies) drop power-ups when destroyed. If you see a flashing Fast tank, prioritize it â you get to eliminate a threat AND collect a power-up!
⥠Intermediate Strategies
Ready to step up your game? These techniques separate average players from good ones.
Enemies spawn at three fixed points (top-left, top-center, top-right). Position yourself where you can quickly fire at newly spawned tanks while they're still materializing. They're vulnerable during the spawn animation!
Save powerful power-ups for the right moment:
- Clock: Use when 4 enemies are on screen for maximum value
- Grenade: Wait until enemies have accumulated â instant multi-kill
- Shovel: Save for when your eagle walls are damaged
Ice makes your tank slide when you stop. Use this to your advantage: slide around corners quickly, or slide backwards while firing. The slide duration is about 0.35 seconds â learn the timing to make sharp turns.
Trees provide visual cover but don't block movement or bullets. Hide in trees near enemy paths and ambush them as they pass. Enemies can't see you either, so use this for surprise attacks.
Bullet Economy
Understanding your fire rate is crucial. With no upgrades, you can only have 1 bullet on screen at a time. Miss, and you have to wait for it to hit something or leave the screen before firing again.
- At Star Level 2+, you can fire 2 bullets simultaneously â this doubles your effective DPS
- Faster bullets (Star Level 1+) reach targets sooner, letting you fire again faster
- Don't hold down the fire button â tap it deliberately for better accuracy
đĨ Advanced Techniques
Master these techniques to achieve high scores and beat the toughest stages.
When you turn perpendicular to your movement direction, your tank automatically aligns to the 8-pixel grid. Use this to slip into tight 2-cell-wide corridors without pixel-perfect positioning. Approach corridors at an angle, then turn sharply to snap into them.
Enemies spawn in a fixed rotation: left â center â right â left â etc. If the last enemy spawned on the left, the next will spawn in the center. Use this to predict where to position yourself.
When you respawn after dying, you have 3 seconds of invincibility. Use this window aggressively â rush into dangerous positions, clear out enemies near the eagle, and collect power-ups. Your shield time is precious!
Your bullets and enemy bullets can destroy each other mid-flight. In critical moments, you can fire defensively to cancel incoming shots aimed at your eagle. This is especially useful when enemies are shooting at your base walls.
For maximum score: let all 20 enemies spawn and destroy them individually rather than using Grenades early. Each enemy is worth 100-400 points, and Grenades give you the same points but eliminate future scoring opportunities. Use Grenades only in emergencies.
đēī¸ Stage-Specific Advice
General tips for different stage types. For detailed stage guides, see our complete level guide.
𧹠Brick-Heavy Stages (1-2)
Preserve walls early. Carve strategic firing lanes but don't over-destroy. Your upgraded tank can reshape the battlefield later if needed.
đ Water Stages (3, 8)
Water creates natural choke points. Position yourself at "bridges" between water sections and pick off enemies as they funnel through.
đ˛ Tree Stages (4)
Trees are double-edged. Use them for cover, but watch for enemies hiding too. Fire into trees periodically to clear hidden enemies.
đ§ Ice Stages (5, 8)
Stay calm and plan your movements. Don't make sudden direction changes on ice. Use the slide momentum to cover ground quickly.
đ˛ Steel Stages (6, 10)
Get 3 stars ASAP. Without steel-breaking bullets, you're severely limited. Focus on collecting Star power-ups early in these stages.
⥠Open Stages (9)
No terrain means no cover for anyone. Aggressive spawn camping is essential. Don't let enemies accumulate â the pressure becomes overwhelming quickly.
